Threaded Protection Caps for UNF /JIC Threads protect threads and fittings from damage during production, storage, and shipment, ensuring that they remain in good condition and ready for use when needed. The protection cap protects flared and flare less from contaminants like dirt, dust, debris, and moisture out of the hole.

Features a knurled head design that makes them easy to install and remove by hand by twisting them or pushing them in on the pipe or tube. They are ideal for UNF/JIC threads, and if you pick the yellow option, they are made of HDPE and have a long profile, which allows for more threading turns. It can withstand temperatures between Min. -30C, Max. +80C. Side pull plugs are a type of plug that is inserted into a hole and pulled to one side to remove. Designed to protect apertures or cavities during production, storage, and transportation against dust, dirt, damage, moisture, acid, and corrosion.

The side pull tab is designed for quick and easy removal and provides additional help to remove the part from a tight fit. Two materials are offered: PE for basic protection needs and TPR to protect threaded. It can withstand temperatures from -40F to 275F (-40C to 135C). Tapered Caps and Plugs made from Red and Blue Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE). A versatile assembly that can be used as both a tapered cap or a tapered plug.

The tapered design allows the part to plug multiple inner diameters or cap multiple outside diameters. The Tapered Cap Plug protects the assembly against damage, dirt, moisture and corrosion during storage and shipping. The series has parts with a heavy duty design, which includes a rugged wall and seal rings for maximum protection.

To assure a proper fit;

• The tapered plugs outer diameter should be approximately 1% larger than the inner diameter of the part (minimum of 0.020 inch).
• The tapered caps inner diameter should be approximately 1% smaller than the outside diameter of the part (minimum of 0.020 inch).
