Button Thread Nuts - Kwik Nut

These Button Thread Nuts - Kwik Nuts are designed to provide a secure and rapid fastening mechanism. Simply push down the thread length to the correct location and lock it in place with a 180 turn for press-fit installation.

It produces a more secure fastening by reducing the danger of nut back-off due to vibrations or dynamic loads. Cage Nuts

Cage Nuts can be applied to square holes, and are commonly found on mounting rails of equipment racks. They offer ideal protection for equipment from stripped threads, and provide handy mounting of server rack equipment.

The combination of a square hole and cage nut is used within rack systems, as this allows for a choice of nut and bolt sizes to be used. If threads are damaged, the metal nut can be easily repleased, as the sheet metal is too thin to tap or thread.

Thumb Nuts, also known as Knurled Nuts, are a type of nut with a knurled outside diameter (surface). This design facilitates manual tightening by hand, and also secures the nut into a handle or cover.

Our knurled thumb nut offer features plastic thumb nuts made from Nylon 6/6; a strong, tough and durable material that is ideal for connecting elements and other technical components. It has self-lubricating properties, and is resistant to moisture, vapour and salt water. Operational temperatures can go up to 100 to 120C, temporarily for non-critical parts. Many nylons are self-extinguishing.

Our nylon thumb nut range also includes options made from Nylon with 30% glass fibre compound. This option is resistant to numerous fluids and chemicals, and is ideal for technical products requiring high dimensional stability and durability at higher operating temperatures. It has good strength and stiffness, in combination with good impact qualities. Excellent for heavy duty handles.

We also offer natural Polycarbonate (PC) plastic knurled thumb nuts. The strong PC material provides an aesthetically pleasing joining solution for applications in Retail and Point of Sale, for example.

Lock & Flange Nuts - Metal

A Flange Nut is a type of nut that has a wide flange on one side, which acts as an integrated washer. Nyloc Nuts are an economical locking nut that are an ideal choice for applications effected by vibration or movement, which can cause the nut assembly to come loose or undo all-together. Our Nyloc Nut range is available Mild Steel with a Zinc Plating.

Mild Steel (or Automat Steel) is often used in applications where a high mechanical strength is needed. It is a suitable alternative to Brass, when conductivity is not a critical element. The Zinc plating provides a professional finish that's RoHS compliant.

These popular plastic nuts can are securely screwed on to a bolt or other fastener fitting, thanks to the threaded core.The hexagonal shape means the nut can be easily tightened and loosened - making them a practical choice.

Our plastic hexagonal nuts come in a choice of materials, including Nylon 6/6 (or Polyamide), Polypropylene (PP) and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF). Refer to standard NF E 2403, ISO 4032, DIN 555, DIN 934 for guidance purposes only. Included is a high-quality Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) option, which offers resistance to most chemicals and is UL94 V0 rated. The brown PEEK material is also has a continuous application temperature of 180C. The range also features a polycarbonate transparent nut, ideal for Point of Sale (POS) display construction.

Wall Plugs

Wall Plugs are used with screws as a fixing solution for a range of applications in both the commercial and domestic building industry, including for a range of home improvement and do-it-yourself (DIY) projects such as, the hanging of framed pictures, shelves and other wall mounted displays.

These cost-effective plugs are an easy to use fixing with a simple, push-fit design that are typically used for dry lining. They are able to support light weights and are ideally used with self-drilling, piercing and self-tapping screws.

To install a wall plug you will require the use of several tools, including; a drill, a hammer and a screwdriver. Wall plugs cannot be screwed directly into a wall or plasterboard, but instead inserted into a pre-drilled hole. To removed a wall plug, simply use a pair of pliers.

Fly Nuts are a type of Wing Nut, which are sometimes known as Finger Nuts. This is because the Fly Nut, like Wing Nuts, has two thumb tabs (or wings) on either side that provide extra grip during assembly. This allows for tool-free installation and removal, which is also quick and easy.

Our Fly Nut range is made from Nylon 6/6, and is available in a Natural appearance or in White RAL 9010. Two variations of these nuts are available; the first features wings that are aligned with nuts body length, and the others wings exceed the length of the body.
